Season Information

100 + wrestlers have signed up for the upcoming season. It will be interesting to see how many show up on November 15th. The Seahawks are looking to reamin as the top team on the Eastern Shore and one of the top teams in the state. Below is a list of important dates for all wrestlers to know.

PLEASE VISIT THE WAR ON THE SHORE TOURNAMENT PAGES FOR ALL INFORMATION ON THIS FANTASTIC EVENT. THIS IS THE LAST YEAR THE TOURNAMENT WILL OCCUR AT THE HIGH SCHOOL. NEXT YEAR ITS OFF TO THE OCEAN CITY CONVENTION CENTER.

2007-2008 Schedule Released

The Stephen Deactur Wrestling Schedule for the next season has been released. The Seahawks continue to wrestle a Conference Schedule but have added Reservoir, a 3A/4A East team for a home dual meet. Also, the Seahawks will return to the very tough Arundel Duals again, and will make a trip out of state to the Titan Duals in Norfolk, VA the first week of January. STATE CHAMPIONS!!!

   Sophomore Danny Miller (189 lbs) became the first state champion in school history by defeating Patrick Klenkel of Queen Annes 3-2 in the ultimate overtime. Danny has now beaten Patrick three times this year.

      Senior Trevor Rickett (112 lbs) became the second state champion when he defeated Tyler Strube of Middletown 4-1. Strube was previously undefeated. Trevor also ends his career as the all time wins leader at Stephen Decatur. Congratulations on a great career Trevor.                    


   




THREE OTHER SEAHAWKS BECOME ALL STATE

CONGRATULATIONS TO SEAN MCGARRY (125LBS), SKYLAR SNEAD (135LBS), AND DEANDRE GORDON (160LBS) FOR PLACING IN THE 1A/2A STATE TOURNAMENT. SEAN FINISHED 6TH IN AN EXTREMELY TOUGH 125 POUND CLASS, WHILE SKYLAR AND DEANDRE EACH FINISHED FOURTH IN THEIR RESPECTIVE WEIGHT CLASSES. GREAT JOB GUYS.
